Here’s some info:
Echojar was conceived early in 2001, when Greg Smith and Brandon
Watkins met and began writing songs. The founding pair located their
drummer and bassist (Steve Allen and Brandon Bailey) through auditions,
and the group’s 5-track EP Sinus was recorded in a period of two days that
came only six weeks after the addition of Allen and Bailey.
Playing instruments as young as 11, the quartet’s influences
make up a rather eclectic, genre-sweeping group of artists including Tchaikovsky,
Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Metallica, The Beastie Boys, The Smashing Pumpkins,
Tool, John Spencer Blues Explosion, Stone Temple Pilots and
Pearl Jam.
